The Liverpool Centre |
The Liverpool Centre is situated in a beautiful location, overlooking Newsham Park. The house is an old Victorian town house, built in the 1880s. The centre was established in 2001 and has been at Newsham Park since 2003.
The main purpose of the Centre is to provide access to the living tradition of Diamond Way Buddhism of the Karma Kagyu Lineage, free of confusing cultural baggage. It is a place for those interested in meditation practise, learning about the nature of mind, and combining these with modern active lives.
We offer regular guided meditation evenings that include a short introduction to Buddhism for newcomers. All are welcome and there is no charge for coming along.
In-depth knowledge is provided at frequent courses and talks with authorised teachers from our tradition. Furthermore, the centre hosts a growing library, offering a selection of Buddhist books, Diamond Way Buddhist magazines, videos, audio-recordings and meditation booklets!
If you are new to Buddhism and would like to find out more, please feel free to come along, give us a call or send us an email. We look forward to seeing you there.
