The Manchester group

Manchester Sangha

We are a very friendly and small group. We meet every Thursday at 8.00 pm in Conference Room 1 on the 3rd floor of the Manchester Metropolitan University Students' Union. This is easily accessible by public transport and is only 3 -5 minutes from Oxford Road train station, 5 - 10 minutes from St Peters Square metro stop and buses stop right outside the Student's Union building.

Manchester group meeting

There is usually an introductory talk followed by a guided meditation on the 16th Karmapa. The meditation session is finished by 9.00 pm and then for those who can stay, we usually have drink together in the Student bar and discuss any questions in a very relaxed and friendly environment.

If you are new and before coming you are worried what it will be like, what to wear or indeed have any other question then please give us a call on the number below and we will do our best to answer your questions and explain what to expect. One thing we can guarantee is a very friendly welcome and some very interesting people from a wide range of diverse backgrounds and cultures!
